SMOOTH HORN-INSERTED ELEPHANT FOOT SMOKING PIPE KIT
Here again you are seeing one stunning smoking pipe kit from this Czech artisan. This Elephant Foot kit is a perfect composition of Briar, Horn, Olive Wood and ebonite. The first thing which catch the eyes about this creation is the size and shape of the Elephant Foot; It is long, big and offers pretty tight lines of briar root. Interesting Horn insertion and extension on the pipe and in tamper add a great value to this item. Natural texture and fixation of the Horn in both pipe and tamper is very remarkable.
Pipe stand is made of Olive Wood and has two separate stand points to hold the tamper and pipe's Foot. Interestingly, tamper plays double roles; to hold the pipe when establish on the pipe stand and to use as a normal tamper. This beautiful kit comes with its own yellow Satin lining.
About the Artist
Marin Vlasak was born in Roudnice nad labem in Czech Republic. He started his career when he was so young as a carpenter and restorer. But soon his passion to smoking pipes bring him to another challenging way. He cancelled his furniture company and starts to carve smoking pipe as a full time artisan. He is carving pipe for more than 20 years and during these times he was honored by a lot of famous design companies and famous celebrities.
In 2003 he had designed for the company Brebbia Pipe in series Grandi designer delta pipe. Therefore, he was ranked among famous names like Pollner, Barbi, Paronella, Tsuge and so on. He has never carved two pipes with the same shape and therefore all of his works are quite unique. Some of his pipes are in the pipe museum of Alberto Paronelli, which is the largest in the world. He works are always surprising with the highest quality. Recently he is living in Brno and working as a full time pipe maker.
