SMOOTH HORN SMOKING PIPE WITH TAMPER AND CUSTOMIZED BOX
This beautiful item exhibit highly sculptural ability, three dimentional imagination power of Bartlomiej Antoniewski in carving of briar. Wonderful creativity, amazing three-dementional concept, absolute attention into details and wonderful finishing all together which satisfy the eyes and pleased the hands. This Larva Creation brings the sense of harmony and self-suspending from, the dramatic sweep of arcing (14 Metasoma for back and equal 8 Metasoma for stomach).
In each separate segment of this smoking pipe you will find a lot of fine and in-detailed engraving which makes it very unique and interesting. Antoniewski not only focus in the segments by themselves, but also the Head (Rim) and the Shank face of the pipe are perfectly carved and engraved by him.
The master used the wonderful cumberland mouthpiece to emphasis the beautiful color of the Larve pipe. Surprisingly, the tamper by itself expresses the absolute attention of this artisan during carving. Amazing sculptural carving, new art of creation, complexity in both Larva smoking pipe and tamper are very obvious in this item.
Here, Antoniewski combine the new wok of art with Nature to get the interesting horn shape and as we can see the result is another wonderful smoking pipe by this artisan. This creation comes together with its wonderful tamper and beautiful customized hand made box.
About the Artist
Bartlomiej Antoniewski was born on 17 May 1961 in Przemysl; the capital of polish pipe. The choice of his career was determined by his fascination with briar; its beauty and the variety of grain and sculptural opportunities it offers for carving pipes. He has been making briar pipes, accessories and miniature briarwood sculpture since 1987. From 1985 to 1986 he worked under Ryszard Filar a well-known and highly regarded master craftsman, creating new models of carved pipes. In this way he contribute to continuing nearly a hundred year-long tradition of pipe craftsmanship in the town of Przmysl.
Besides classic shapes, the pipes he created include those decorated with animal and floral motifs as well as abstract and geometrical forms and motifs to do with hunting. His pipes are made from high quality mediterranean briar, while mouthpieces are made from acrylic, cumberland and ebonite. Since 2008 he made a revelotion in the carving of sculptural pipes. Brilliant concepts and strong three dimentional ability bring his pipes in the category of the best. He even made soem custoized box for some of his pipe together with fitting tamper. This shows the intense interest of the artisan to create and to ejoy with brair.
