Jürgen "Bibi" Bischoff was born 1964 in Hainburg, Germany. He studied electrical engineering and works as a Electrical Hall-manager. He was always interested in old handcrafts and the craft in all its facets. The fascination with pipes began at the age of 14, when his father quit smoking, and bequeathed Bibi his collection. He started in late 2004 with the pipe making as an autodidact. At the Rodgau-Stammtish he has met the pipemakers Roger Wallenstein, Ralf E. Wunderlich, Gerhard Wilhelm and Ivan Mehlich. In 2008 Gerhard invited him to his workshop, where he has learned a lot from him, Ralf and Ivan. For his pipes, Bibi mostly uses Briar and Olive Wood and in the case of mouthpiece, Acrylic and Ebonite. About 65% of the pipes have a 9 mm filter the other are without filter.
